The 2007
Thanksgiving Parade was an
outstanding success and we couldn't
have done it without your support Thank You!!
Plymouth Rock Foundation and America's Hometown thanksgiving Celebration Committee , want to thank you all for a spectacular 2007 celebration! We could not have had an event of such quality without all the behind the scene support of local business financial sponsors, hundreds of volunteers and town department units and officials, PAC-TV and Channel 7.
We are
in the process of updating
our website and will be
adding features and
slideshows of all the
exciting events over the
last year and information
for Thanksgiving 2008.
Please check back
frequently.
We invite you to catch a glimpse of pictures of some of the many parade participants including drum & Bugle Corps, historical floats and
reenactment units . This year, in addition to the Saturday parade, we had over 20 crafters; a very successful Food Festival, a US Coast Guard water rescue demonstration; and
Reenactment Village demonstrations . The US Navy Band and Sea Chanters packed Memorial Hall on Friday evening to honor our veterans and the Saturday evening Drum & Bugle Alumni Concert was a grand finale to the weekend.
One of our major goals is to
foster appreciation and give thanks
for our American heritage which
began here in America's Hometown. By
bringing local citizens, and
businesses together to sponsor such
an event, we are able to promote
local pride so that our residents
can say, “Welcome to our community.
We are proud to live here and share our historic treasures with you”. Hopefully all of you who came learned a bit more about our heritage and values. We trust you returned to your homes more thankful for this great nation and were inspired to do your part in preserving history in your own communities.
Once again, we thank all of you who partnered with us to bring this all together.
